My name’s Adam Scott, and welcome to my website and portfolio – thank you for taking the time to learn more about my services. Now’s the time for you to learn a little bit about the man behind the camera!

I run ASMedia from my home base in Yeovil, Somerset, where I live with my wife Emily. I’m originally from Cornwall – but I moved away to serve with the RAF in 2004 and have since set up base and home here. It’s a fantastic area for local beauty and countryside walks – many of which have inspired sections of my personal and professional portfolio.

I’ve always been interested in photography – to me, it’s the perfect way to share moments in our lives that we can hold onto forever. There’s so much that goes on before our eyes that we often need to capture the best – or most interesting – moments so that we can cherish them in years to come. Whether I’m on a country walk, travelling, or even flying – I always strive to find moments that deserve to be honoured in a photo or two. Certainly, my main hope is to share everyday experiences that I capture with the world – and while I’m very keen on capturing the ad hoc and the spontaneous, you can never beat a good shoot in the studio once in a while!

I like to approach studio sessions and outdoor shoots with the same philosophy – make it relaxing, make it enjoyable! People produce the most memorable photographs when they are relaxed, being themselves, and are given the space to do their own thing. Shoots can be a lot of fun – whether indoors or outdoors! Nothing beats getting smiles from my clients when I help them create some fantastic, natural photos for their albums – beauty is natural, and I like to think I help everyone who contacts me to appreciate that!

I’m often accompanied on outdoor or indoor shoots with a variety of equipment; I greatly favour the Nikon D810, the DJI Inspire 2 and the DJI Phantom Pro 4 when it comes to getting the best shots.

All in all, photos should be kept to cherish – and more to this, they are a great way of helping people realise their true beauty, or to allow them to look back upon spectacular landscape shots with wonder. Time doesn’t stand still – which is all the more reason why we should be taking photos along the way!
